Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Locum Substance Misuse Recovery Coordinator to join a dynamic team in Surrey. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong background in substance misuse support to work in a rewarding and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of service users, providing tailored support and interventions.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalized recovery plans.
- Provide one-to-one support, harm reduction advice, and structured interventions.
- Work closely with healthcare professionals, social workers, and criminal justice agencies.
- Facilitate group sessions and workshops focusing on relapse prevention and recovery.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and adhere to all service protocols.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to service development.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in substance misuse services is essential.
- Experience working with individuals involved in the criminal justice system is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of harm reduction strategies and recovery models.
- Excellent communication, case management, and motivational interviewing skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
