About Us:
Opal Personnel is currently working with a well-established veterinary clinic in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom, who are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join their team on a permanent basis. The practice prides itself on delivering high-quality veterinary services with a compassionate approach. They offer a wide range of services, including general veterinary care, surgery, diagnostics, and preventive care, in a supportive and professional environment.
The Role:
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting the veterinary team in providing exceptional patient care. You will work in a well-equipped clinic, assisting in surgeries, conducting nurse consultations, and ensuring the overall well-being of the animals in your care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians during consultations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures
- Administer medication and treatments to patients as prescribed
- Monitor in-patients and provide post-operative care
- Perform nurse consultations, including nutritional advice, vaccinations, and preventive care
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with the day-to-day running of the clinic
- Engage in CPD (Continuing Professional Development) to stay updated on best practices
Requirements:
- Qualified and registered with the RCVS (Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons)
- Previous experience working as a Veterinary Nurse in a small animal practice
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- A commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality patient care
What’s On Offer:
- Competitive salary ( £26000-£35000 )
- 40 hours per week
- 1 in 4 Saturdays
- No OOH
- No Sundays
