About Us:

Opal Personnel is currently working with a lovely veterinary clinic in Dewsbury who are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a permanent basis. The practice pride themselves on delivering gold-standard care and fostering a friendly, collaborative working environment. They offer a wide range of services, including general veterinary care, surgery, diagnostics, and preventive care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse caseload, including routine and complex surgical procedures.
  • Utilise advanced facilities such as two sterile operating theatres, a dental theatre, ultrasound, and X-ray rooms.
  • Collaborate closely with a dedicated team, including reception and nursing staff, to provide comprehensive care.
  • Champion nurse-led care, allowing focus on complex cases and surgeries.
  • Ensure high standards of care are maintained throughout all procedures and client interactions.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualified Veterinary Surgeon, registered with the RCVS.
  • Strong interest and competency in managing diverse cases, including emergency and critical care.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to empathise with pet owners and work effectively within a team.
  • A passion for community veterinary care and a commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Desirable: Experience in orthopaedic surgery and other advanced medical procedures.
