About Us:
Opal Personnel is currently working with a well-established, 24-hour veterinary hospital in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, who are looking for a Night Veterinary Surgeon to join their team on a permanent basis. The clinic prides itself on delivering high-quality emergency and critical care with a compassionate approach. Their state-of-the-art facility offers a wide range of services, including emergency surgery, diagnostics, and overnight in-patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver overnight ECC to a diverse caseload, ensuring consistent, high-quality care for all inpatients.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools such as ultrasound, radiography, and CT during shifts.
- Collaborate with a skilled night nursing team and consult with veterinary specialists.
- Ensure smooth transition of cases from day to night staff, maintaining continuity and quality of care.
- Engage in development and training opportunities to enhance clinical skills.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Qualified Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for emergency and critical care.
- Proven ability to manage diverse and complex cases independently.
- Strong communication skills, capable of empathizing with pet owners during stressful situations.
- Ability to work cohesively with both day and night team members.
- Enthusiasm for working in a dynamic, night-time veterinary environment.
