About Us:

Opal Personnel is currently working with a lovely veterinary clinic in Radlett, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom who are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a permanent basis. The practice pride themselves on delivering high-quality veterinary services with a compassionate approach. They offer a wide range of services, including general veterinary care, surgery, diagnostics, and preventive care.

The Role:

As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will play a key role in providing high standards of medical and surgical care to their patients. You will work in a well-equipped environment with access to modern diagnostic tools and support from a skilled veterinary nursing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, treat, and manage a variety of small animal cases
  • Perform routine and complex surgical procedures
  • Provide consultations and follow-up care to patients and their owners
  • Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure the best outcomes for each patient
  • Maintain accurate medical records
  • Engage in CPD (Continuing Professional Development) to stay updated on the latest veterinary practices

Requirements:

  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine
  • Current and valid registration with the RCVS (Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons)
  • Experience in small animal medicine and surgery
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and independently
  • Commitment to providing excellent patient care and client service

What’s On Offer:

  • Competitive salary, £48k – £65k commensurate with experience
  • 40 hour week – One day off a week
  • 1 in 3 Saturday mornings only
  • No OOH
  • Supportive team
